Born and raised in rural Alabama USA, I managed to end up in Japan. My passion is riding Motorcycles, Traveling, Scuba Diving and Sailing.
Living in Tokyo feels like having the best of all worlds at my fingertips. Here, four seasons unfold in perfect contrast: snowy mornings for a quick ski run, springtime for cherry blossoms that paint the city in delicate pink, sun-soaked beaches and sailing adventures, and the depth of the ocean beckoning with scuba diving explorations. Yet even as nature changes with the seasons, the pulse of the big city remains constant—dynamic, diverse, endlessly surprising. I get to daydream beneath neon skylines, discover hidden culinary gems, and then step outside to hike scenic trails or ride the subway to a new neighborhood in minutes. Tokyo isn’t just a place to live; it’s an entire world that blends serenity and spectacle, tradition and innovation, all at the tip of my fingers. It’s truly an amazing place to call home.
Alabama - Life was simple growing up without the internet, we mostly played outdoors throwing rocks, shooting each other with BB-guns and eating peanut butter with a spoon. There were fewer distractions back then .
Life is a bit more intense these days, deadlines, budgets, audits and living in a city of 23 million took some getting use to.. Radical changes in life!
Japan - A seasoned Technology and Leadership professional with a multi-industry background spanning Finance, Banking, Telecommunications, Airline, and Aerospace in Japan. Since arriving in the early 1990s, I’ve built a comprehensive career starting in hands-on technical disciplines and evolving into senior management, guiding complex programs from concept to delivery.
Early in my journey, I focused on core IT foundations: programming, networking, and project management. I expanded into DR/BCP, security frameworks NIST/ISO27001/CUI, Risk Management and Governance, steadily mastering every facet of my field. This broad technical base provided a solid platform for leadership responsibilities, where I’ve successfully steered initiatives across diverse sectors and stakeholder groups.
Why do I love Japan? Besides the electric toilet seats, amazing food, low crime rates and cleanliness, I am fascinated with how the culture, customs, religion and language are blended together that makes Japan this mystic place. They have simplicity, strong moral values and live by the 4 S’s (service, social, sustainable, share). I have learned so much from the Japanese and continue to learn everyday on how to become a better person.
